Dr Nafiz Fahad MaS, PhD

Nafiz Fahad began his academic career at Ƶ in 2022, where he primarily taught core financial accounting courses in the undergraduate programme. To meet the industry demands on analytical skills among the accounts, he designed and coordinated the first data analytics course for accounting students, using leading analytics software applications and providing hands-on training and project supervision. His research interests are social media, financial accounting, and financial markets. 

Nafiz completed his PhD in Accounting from Auckland University of Technology in September 2023, focusing on the textual complexity in nonperiodic disclosures and how social media can facilitate investors in processing such information. His doctoral research findings were presented at several international conferences. He also has experience as a casual lecturer, teaching assistant, and research assistant at AUT, as well as a full-time faculty member at various universities in Bangladesh.
