I am interesting in exploring, critiquing, and pushing boundaries with scientific research - and value knowledge based on experience and wisdom, and collaborative research with Māori (and other cultural) partners at the interface of different knowledge-systems. Te Tiriti o Waitangi has implications for researchers and research.
I am particularly interested in supervising research that is linked to real world settings and priorities, has tangible benefits, and promotes social justice and equity.
