School of Design

Tim is the Subject Director of Visual Communication where he has been responsible for leading a team in implementing the new undergraduate programme to NASAD accreditation standards. He is a Senior Lecturer in Brand Communication and Service Design.

Tim is a visual communicator whose research focuses on the trans-disciplinary field of experience design. His work investigates the use of design thinking and user centred processes to develop solutions for social innovation and civic engagement.

Tim mentors at Open Lab – a staff and student run enterprise design environment within Ƶ. He is also an advisor with the Design & Democracy Project – a research unit focused on enhancing the role that design and design thinking has to play in 21st century citizenship.
