Associate Professor Christina Severinsen PhD

Associate Professor in Public Health

Doctoral Supervisor
School of Health Sciences

My research platform emphasises diversity in health research while maintaining a critical public health lens. Through my research, I have generated high-quality evidence that contributes to the academic discourse, informs policy decisions, and enriches public discussions on health in Aotearoa New Zealand. My research sheds light on the communities' strengths, experiences and priorities. I actively participate in interdisciplinary projects combining my public health and health promotion with mātauranga Māori, health services, communities, and education. Through my research, I am to bridge the gap between academia and communities, linking policy and practice.
